Chain affiliation lookup
Know the hotel but not the chain? Look it up by name — the profile names its brand, its build year and when it was last renovated.
For travellers
A brand name tells you the service standard, not the condition of the room. Two hotels under the same flag can be decades apart in freshness. Each brand page ranks that chain's properties by how recently they were actually renovated — so you can pick the freshest one in your city, not just any hotel under the flag.
For suppliers
FF&E suppliers and contractors often sell into a single brand. Each brand page surfaces which of that chain's hotels are approaching their renovation cycle or are already under renovation — a ready-made account list for the Renovation Radar.

Frequently asked — hotel brands
How do I find out which chain a hotel belongs to?+
Search the hotel by name on HotelChrono. Its profile names the brand it flies — Sheraton, Hampton, Novotel and so on — and links straight through to that brand's page here, where you can see the rest of the portfolio ranked by renovation year. The affiliation matters because the flag on the door is a promise about the group's standards, not about the age of your room: two hotels under the same brand can be a decade apart in fit-out. That is the gap this directory exists to close. We currently detect 40 brands across 948 tracked hotels.
Can I identify a hotel chain from the hotel's name?+
Usually yes, and that is how we do it: the brand is almost always in the name — “Hampton Inn & Suites Chesapeake”, “Sheraton Grand Taipei”. Where the name carries no flag, the hotel is either independent or part of a soft collection, and we leave the brand blank rather than guess. Same rule as everywhere else on HotelChrono: no quote, no data.
What's the difference between a hotel brand and a hotel chain?+
A chain — or hotel group — is the parent company that operates many brands: Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Accor are groups. A brand is the flag on the door: Sheraton, Hampton, Holiday Inn, Novotel. People search for a “hotel brand list” because the brand is what they actually book. HotelChrono lists each brand and ranks its hotels by how recently they were renovated.
How many hotel brands does this directory cover?+
This directory currently lists 40 hotel brands with enough tracked properties to compare — 948 hotels in total — from luxury flags like Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental to large-scale groups like Holiday Inn, ibis and Best Western. Open any brand to see its full portfolio ranked by Chrono Score.
Does the same brand guarantee the same room condition?+
No. Two hotels under the same brand can be decades apart in freshness — a flag standardises service, not the age of the fit-out. That's why each brand page ranks properties by their actual last-renovation year, not by the star rating.
Can I see which of a brand's hotels are due for renovation?+
Yes. Every brand page flags hotels approaching their renovation cycle or already under works. FF&E suppliers and contractors use it as a ready-made account list inside the Renovation Radar.
